Some years ago, Norbulingka created a project to depict the life of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in a series of etchings based on photographs from the time. The etchings were done on zinc plates, printed, and then painted by hand. A book was also written in Tibetan containing descriptions of each of the etchings.
