The first statue made at Norbulingka Institute was the 20ft Buddha statue in our temple, planned and created by Master Pemba Dorje and his team, in1994. Many followed, from Buddha statues to complex 8ft Kalachakra statues, perfectly proportioned and executed, to be found in temple and Buddhist centers all over India, and worldwide. Made from hand hammered copper sheets, they are one of a kind, gilded and the faces painted in ‘cold gold’ by our thangka artists. Subject and size can be presented to our team for appraisal, and possibilities discussed. Large statues can be dismantled for shipment and reassembled in their final destination.
