In Tibet, concern for the next life comes first, and much is invested in the spiritual. Until recently, all art work was spiritual in nature, as was much of the vernacular including basic furniture and accessories. Norbulingka was built on the strength and skill of our religious arts artisans and it was fitting that Norbulingka share this heritage with the world in the crafting of a unique collection for Dharma practitioners.
We have thoughtfully curated the objects in our Dharma accessories collection, to accompany your spiritual journey. Ranging from objects of meditation such as miniature altar with statue, incense burners, to meditation tables, prayer mala beads and enveloping shawls, these pieces imbibed in centuries of spiritual tradition, facilitate peace of mind and spiritual development.
Tibetan culture and society are rooted in pastoralism, the population outside cities is mostly nomadic, though many are both nomads and farmers. Whatever their roots, Tibetans have a deep love for the outdoors. Since they were often on the move, most of the furniture are adapted for their lifestyle – easy to assemble and to pack up for their next move.
Our meditation sets are inspired to accompany the meditator in their spiritual journey - both at home and for the wanderer in you. Our meditation table is collapsible, easy to transport and our travelers’ altar create the altar for your daily meditation wherever you are on the go. Our prayer mala beads are carefully chosen to offer a spiritual companion and our enveloping meditational shawls, to make you forget about the world around you and find that within.
